Class Exercise... week 11

Story 1: A broom that can move on its own, decided to clean the whole house while its owner are away on a holiday.

Story 2: A girl trapped in an amusement park after closing time.

Story 3: Jessie lost her precious hairpin, someone claimed that he found it and told her to go out on a date with him if she wants her hairpin back.

Story 4: Roy just lost his parents to an accident, he quarrels with anyone who annoys him. Only his childhood friend can stop him.

Story 5: Judy and Carrie have been best friends until one misunderstanding leads to their biggest break up.

Story 6: Gabriel lost her hairpin at the amusement park, she searched it everywhere and found it in the possession of an obnoxious young officer.

Story 7: Megan and Rob are having their biggest quarrel, A magic broom that they discovered after class brought them back together in an unusual situation.

Story 8: Mary has hated her childhood friend because of an accident that she believed was her fault.

Story 9: A guy that Katie has been quarreling since 10 years old suddenly asked her out on a date, later discovered that he had an ulterior motive.

Story 10: A lost duck found shelter in an empty house during a storm, the house became filthy when the owner of the house came back.

One Sentence Summary Of my 5 story...

1st Story:

A good deed that we’ve done will be rewarded with kindness. Everyone deserved it even for Johan who was misunderstood by his schoolmates and others who did not know him. A kindness is not something that we can ask for but it’s something that we receive.

2nd Story:

A reunion after 5 years that will reunite two childhood friends after a sudden confession of love, which was left without a reply.

3rd Story:

Lucy is determined to keep the stray kitten that she found in her room without giving anyone a clue about it but by doing that, she brought the attention to herself.

4th Story:

Toby is a little duck who has a wish to go to an amusement park, but after going there, he realised that he doesn’t know how to get back home.

5th Story:

Mollie and Megan are dolls that always argue about which one is their owner's favourite, but when crisis strikes they join forces to help their beloved owner.

5th STORY...

Exercise 2

Title: For Maggie.

Summary: Mollie and Megan are dolls that always argue about which one is their owner's favourite, but when crisis strikes they join forces to help their beloved owner.

Two toys always argue with each other about which one is their owner's favourite; Maggie. Mollie is a doll that wears a frilly dress while Megan is a doll that wears a cowgirl outfit, their appearance are even opposite to each other. Maggie would always play with them when she’s back from school. At the end of the day, they would argue about their role whether whose is the superior one.

Just like any other day, Maggie plays with them in her room. But at around 7 pm, she went downstairs to celebrate her birthday and left Mollie and Megan. They had planned to give her a surprise which is a ribbon that they’ve been practicing on making. They put it on Maggie’s dressing table. Maggie went and put her other presents on the dressing table so Mollie’s and Megan’s ribbons were covered by them. Mollie and Megan felt disappointed that their plan was ruined. They just watch from their place on the shelf when Maggie opens her presents. She got a lot of presents that her table are so stuffed.

The next day when Maggie wanted to go out, she want to wear the bracelet that her mother gave her. But she can’t find it anywhere. She searched high and low for it, but to no avail. Then Mollie and Megan suspected that maybe the bracelet was accidentally thrown in the trash, but the problem is that the trash was already brought to the dumpsite this morning!  Maggie did not go out because she’s still searching for her present. That night, Mollie and Megan have decided to retrieve Maggie’s bracelet from the dumpsite.

They used a skateboard and a soda bottle as their transport. So they depart to their destination, the dumpsite. When they arrive there, the place is brimmed with trash all over the place. So they panicked where to start their search.

“Where do we start?” Mollie whimpered.

“Just find the newest looking pile of trash.” Megan snapped.

So they find the most possible looking trash that could be form this morning. They dig, shove and slipped all around the pile looking for the bracelet. After looking for it for hours they finally see something shines from the top of the pile. They climb it and pull it, at last! They found it. But it looked a little dirty. All dirty themselves, they just give a sighs of relief. They went back to their home by the window that they’ve left open at Maggie’s room.

“The bracelet!” Maggie squealed.

She found Mollie and Megan holding the bracelet together on the shelf. Maggie smiled broadly, then she realised,

“Mollie, Megan! What happened to you?” Maggie shrieked.

Both of the dolls are dirty and torn beyond repair. Mollie and Megan are both happy to see their Maggie smiled again. But there’s one thing that they did not realised, that Maggie would be even more sad if anything would ever happen to them. She loved them both equally.

Exercise 2

Title: finding a way home.

Summary: Toby is a little duck who has a wish to go to an amusement park, but after going there, he realised that he doesn’t know how to get back home.

Toby gazes at the bus that stopped just a few feet away from his lake. That bus goes to the amusement park, the place that he had always wanted to go. It was rumoured to be a fun place. He made his decision at that moment with a strong determination.

I’ll get on that bus!

He quickly scrambled from his hiding spot and jumped as he might on the bus’s steps. He then alighted at a station that has the advertisement on the amusement park. He followed the other visitors into the amusement park and was brought speechless. How huge the place is! He went from ride to ride and enjoyed himself until evening. Until then that he thought of how will he get back home. The place is huge and he can’t find his way to the exit. So he just walked on the side walk to avoid getting stepped on. Toby was mulling about wondering where he should go when suddenly he bumped into something. Apparently it was someone’s leg. That person is a boy about seven years old. The boy noticed Toby and was about to catch him when Toby snapped his beak and bolted from the boy.

Toby heard loud footsteps coming from behind him, getting nearer and nearer. He warily looked behind him and find that the boy was chasing him with a determine expression. In a panic, he didn’t turn his head fast enough and hit the lamp post in front of him. When he awakened, he realised that he’s swaying in a steady motion. He was actually in the pocket of that boy. Wriggling in his position trying to escape, he had brought the boy’s attention to Toby. He struggled again to get away from the boy. But the boy held him tighter.

 “Shush, calm down. I’ll get you home.” He soothed.

But Toby just cocked his head, puzzled. Since he doesn’t understand human language. But hearing that boy’s soothing voice, he began to relax a little. Well, at least he’s safe from getting stepped on, he thought. So when Toby saw a familiar place, he would gesture to that direction to the boy with his wings. With a higher view, Toby could see easily his way home.

After a while, they came across the bus stop that Toby first aboard the bus. He gestured frantically to the bus stop and the boy put him down nearby it. Toby gestured to the boy to follow him, and the boy obeyed. So he showed his home to the boy, a beautiful lake hidden by bushes. The boy’s face brightened and smiled. Toby then plucked a flower with his beak from a nearby bush and held it out to the boy. Surprised, he took it.

“Thank you and you’re welcome,” The boy responded. Toby quacked at him in return.

Both of them looked at each other. I’ll not forget him, both of them thought at the same time.

Exercise 2

Title: Little Lucy.

Summary: Lucy is determined to keep the stray kitten that she found in her room without giving anyone a clue about it but by doing that, she brought the attention to herself.

   Mischievous little Lucy always get in trouble. The day before, she stomped into the mud with her shoes on! The mud splattered on her shoes and clothes, which made her mom, chase her all around the house with a mop in hand to clean the floor along the way. Not a day passed by without hearing her laughter ringing through the walls of her house.

One rainy day, Lucy heard a soft rustling near a bush where she was playing. She slowly approached it and pushed aside the leaves to peer inside; there she found a kitten covered with dirt. It was mewing at her as if pleading for help, so she bundled it up in her shirt rushing home. She tip toeing quietly into the house, but her grandma saw her silhouette and gave a knowing shake of her head. Lucy then went up to her room and placed the kitten on her bed, and then she went into the kitchen and searched for food, making a lot of noises at the same time.

   That day, Lucy was suspiciously giggling in her room. That really made the rest of the family puzzled. Later when Lucy’s mom wanted to collect dirty clothes for cleaning, she saw that there was a string lying on the floor coming from Lucy’s and she went in to inspect it. She backed away from the room as if seeing a ghost, a kitten sleeping on Lucy’s bed and it looked the same as her pet in the past.

Lucy went home from school in joy thinking about the kitten. She went passed the kitchen and was called by her mom, and immediately she thought about the kitten. Lucy’s face turned white. Before her mother said anything, she begged her mother to keep the kitten. But her mother expression saddened.

“NO.” She replied.

 She stayed in her room for the rest of the day cuddled with the kitten, refusing to eat anything. Lucy suddenly woke up by hearing voices coming from the hall in the middle of the night. So she quietly sneaked to the staircase near her room, realised that the ones talking was her mom and grandma.

“I can’t stand it.” Her mom said.

“Just put the past in the past, Mary.” Grandma replied.

Lucy heard a big sigh coming from her mother, Lucy then scrambled quickly to her room. Lucy still remained confused of what her mother and grandma had said. The next morning, her mom wanted to talk to her. Lucy warily sat the chair across her mom.

“I’ll let you keep the kitten if you promise me to take care of it yourself, okay?” mom asked.

“I promise!” Lucy beamed.

From that day on, Lucy would always play with the kitten openly and they’re inseparable. Her mom watched them with a sad smile knowing that one day the kitten will eventually left Lucy to the other side, at least they’ll have happy memories that they could treasure before then.

Summary:

It was a surprise for Amy to get a call from her childhood friend, Jenny. She was a childhood friend in the neighbourhood where she lived five years ago.  In the past, they were inseparable and through Jenny that she met Nick. He would always tease and bully her when they’re around each other. But to Amy, that was the good memories that she brought with her when she left. Jenny wanted a reunion for the three of them because the place that they used to play together was going to be demolished soon. So, in memory of their friendship, she planned to go there and hang out for the last time. So Amy agreed to it.

   Amy was really panicking before that day. She was delighted to reunite with Jenny but with Nick, was a different matter altogether. Well, something happened between Amy and Nick before the day she moved. On that day, Nick came early than usual to the playground that they always play, with the intention of meeting Amy before Jenny came. So both of them talked for awhile and then abruptly Nick turned and faced Amy, what came next was a shock and unexpected to her.

   “I used to like you.” Nick confessed.

   Just then, Jenny came and called to them. Nick dashed out of the playground leaving Jenny confused. She then asked Amy, but she just stayed stunned. So Amy and Nick parted just like that, without him sending her off, Jenny was the one crying her eyes out at their separation before Amy left.

   Now that she would meet again with Nick after all these years, she became very flustered and wondered about a lot of things. On that awaited day, Amy and Jenny brought with them all kinds of snacks as if on a picnic. They talked a lot while waiting for Nick to arrive, Amy found out that Jenny and Nick went to the same high school and she also found out that a girl had confessed her feelings to Nick but he hasn’t given a reply yet, her heart clenched at hearing this not knowing why. Just then, Nick arrived and Jenny asked him about his confession reply. Amy can’t bear to hear it and made an excuse to buy some more snacks and bolted from them.

   Unexpected to her, Nick followed and catches up to her. He was confused as to her obvious avoidance of him. Amy suddenly blurted out, “You shouldn’t keep that girl waiting long for your answer, it’s not nice.” She then mentally smacked herself as to why she said that! Nick gave her a hooded expression with a sad smile.  

   “I still can’t forget about you after all these years,” he admitted.

   Until then that she realised she also felt the same for Nick. She whispered, “me too.”

   They embraced each other and came back to Jenny holding hands instead of a bag of snacks with them, leaving Jenny confused yet again.

Officer: The cats that you imprisoned have escaped.

Hitler: HUH? Did those beasts thought that they could escape from me? Those fools!

Hitler: Then I want my armed soldiers to take action this instant!  Do you think that I’ve stayed here because I have a lot of work to do? That’s a lie! Because of their furry face, I’m terrified! Terrified! Terrified!

The Simpson- 3 ACT STRUCTURE

1st= 1 sentence summary of the story.

2nd= write in point form of what the story is about.

SETUP: 

(1)= Homer have to go to a party.

(2)= Bart Simpson purchased a "spy camera" out of boredom and took pictures of interesting things, he then coincidentally came across his dad dancing with a belly dancer and snapped a shot. the picture that he took was distributed which spread all around the town.

CONFLICT: 

(1) Homer's picture dancing with a belly dancer had spread through out the town that his own wife thrown him out because he showed a bad example to his son.

(2) confronted by his wife.

RESOLUTION: 

Homer begged his wife's forgiveness and was given a command form her to bring Bart to meet the belly dancer to show that a woman dancer is not an object, they're humans like the others so don't treat them like an object.

BEATS:

-Homer has to got to a party.
-Bart purchased a "Spy- Camera."
-Mom, Bart, Lisa and mollie went to a family restaurant.
-Bart ordered a squid dish but wanted to vomit when he saw it.
-he came across his dad when he came back from the toilet.

ABOUT THE STORY

-It have an interesting and funny way to convey the message.
-Bart took any interesting scene that he finds interesting with his new "Spy camera".
-Took a picture of his dad dancing with a belly dancer at a bachelor party organized for his friend.
-The picture had been distributed all over the town.
-His wife, Marge found out and got disappointed and angry.
-some people interpret the picture differently.
-At the end of the story, it teaches us a lesson.

Bon Jovi- it's my life:
-a music video about a boy's journey to go to a Live gig and meet up with his friend.

*Set Up= the boy is in his room and suddenly his girl/friend wanted him to see a concert with her.

ACT 1, SCENE 1= the boy is in his room and his friend called to see a LIVE gig.
ACT 1, SCENE 2= his mom would let him go if he throw out the trash first. (conflict)
ACT 1, SCENE 3= he rushed out of his house in a hurry.

ACT 2, SCENE 1= ran all the way from his house.
ACT 2, SCENE 2= Jump from a bridge for a short cut.
ACT 2, SCENE 3= he ran through a tunnel full of cars.
Conflict= he ran above the cars and fell through a top window into the company of gangsters, he was kicked out from the car.

ACT 3, SCENE 1= he finally met his friend.
ACT 3, SCENE 2= he enjoyed himself at the Live gig.

*Conflict= mom asked him to take out the trash before going out.

*Center part= his journey to meet his girl/friend. (he went through a lot of stunts on his way to his destination).

*Conclusion= at the end, he finally met his girl/friend at the live gig.

For the birds Original:
-selfish group of small birds wanted to rest on a line of wire all on their own but a big bird came and wanted to be friends with them but they doesn't want to and wanted to kick him away.

Flamingo fantasia:
-a flamingo who likes to play a yoyo was forced to dance with the other flamingos but it still got it's own way to play the yoyo and dance at the same time.

Snowman:
- A lonely snowman went through a lot of strategy to get out of his glass globe to hang out with a girl but to no avail, in the end, he still stuck in there.

Jurassic fart:
- the three creatures was having a fart challenge, the last creature was the most weak between the three but it's fart was the most deadly and it won.

TIPS:  (1) the reason why she wants to keep the kitten? = Lucy wanted a companion because she's lonely.

My first story... A deed of kindness.

Summary:~

A good deed that we’ve done will be rewarded with kindness. Everyone deserved it even for Johan who was misunderstood by his schoolmates and others who did not know him. A kindness is not something that we can ask for but it’s something that we receive.

    There was a boy named Johan who’s in his year two in high school. Even in high school, he was known as a weirdo, he would wear a hoodie even in class and most of the time he would just stare into space. Nobody knows much about him since he always keep everything to himself. Even when his classmates talked to him, he would just nod or shake his head. So he’s a mystery to everyone.

Even though he’s like that, he would actually help someone when he saw someone in need. At one time, he saw a bird with an injured wing and he brought it back with him. But he would come out of his house more injured than the bird itself. He had a hard life with an uncaring father.  But he still save the bird from harm’s way and freed it after it was healed. At school, most people would avoid him when he’s walking along the corridor or anywhere else because of his brooding and serious face.  There was that one time that some guy accidentally bumped into him and suddenly Johan shoved him hard, away from himself as a reflex. He didn’t like anyone touching him.

The hoodie is like his protection from the eyes and gossips all around him. It’s as if he’s hiding himself wrapped inside it.

Unknown to him, there was someone who’s been observing and watching him from afar. Knew of his kindness that was hidden from anyone else. She then gave him a homemade cooking in his locker since he always eat foods from a convenience store from what she observed. To Johan, it’s a joke that someone was trying to pull so he just throw it away. Day after day there would be a homemade lunch in his locker, so he decided to try it for the first and last time if it’s a joke or not. When he ate the food, tears started to fall from his eyes. It tasted just like his mother’s cooking. How long has it been since he last tasted something this delicious. For the first time in his life, he cried it all out reflecting on his sad and painful life he had.

At least he thought, there is someone out there that care for him even if it's just out of kindness.

-Hook: An opening of a story that "hooks" the reader's attention so that he or she will keep on reading.


-Motive: A purpose, something that cause a person to act in a certain way.


-Conflict: It is when two or more sides do not agree. 


-Dramatic sequence: Scenes that would lead to another scene.


-Resolution: Is to solve a problem. A solution to a conflict.


-Outcome: The result or consequence of a performance in terms of success and failure.

-When they see the tissue paper after they reached the seat, they looked at each other and thought that maybe the tissue paper is just a forgotten item that the previous person had left, So B tried to give the seat to A while A tried to do the same. After a while, the owner of the seat came back, they just acknowledged that the seat had been taken and left on their own way.

No.1 WHAT IS A STORY?

A story is a tale made by someone who have an experience or a creative mind. There are a lot of different kinds of story, such as fantasy, romance, thriller and many more.
